Families riding bikes together

What's happening?

Kidical Mass is a fun, family friendly mass bike ride with a serious message.  Imagine if your children could safely cycle across Bristol on their own to school, clubs, friends' houses and parks? It can, and should be, a reality and a right for them!

For one afternoon, children and families will take over the streets of Bristol by riding together to call for a city that prioritises the independence, freedom and safety of children.

Building on the momentum of our past two Bristol rides, we’re inviting families to come together at 11am on September 19th at Queen Square before setting off on a circular and well marshalled loop of the centre.

The route

Our volunteers will be running feeder rides from residential areas around Bristol.  These will be smaller group rides that will help you to cycle safely with others to the starting point at Queen Square.

The main event will start at Queen Square at 11am for the big (but not too long!) ride around the centre.  We’ll ding our bells, wave banners and have lots of fun- returning to Queen Square again.  The route is child friendly and marshalled by our teams of volunteers- most importantly, there will be lots of us!
